The Virtual Montane Lakeland 50 & 100 takes place July 11th-25th and you have 15 days to walk, run, swim, cycle or push either 50 or 105 miles. The entry fee is £20, which covers the cost of your medal and postage, the rest of the entry fee goes to charity.

This year our chosen charity is Baby Basics UK, a nationwide volunteer-led project, aiming to support new mothers and families who are struggling to meet the financial and practical burden of looking after a new baby. The list of people they support includes (but is not limited to) teenage mums, those with financial hardship and those fleeing domestic abuse. If you’re taking past in the Lakeland 50 & 100 this year, why not also take part in the Virtual 50 & 100 (as a warm up?). Maybe you could encourage your club mates to take part in the Virtual? How about family and friends, they only need to walk 3 miles per day?

If you don’t want to take part on your own, you can enter as a team and run collectively. There’s also free entry for schools.
