Trail Running Events – ENTRIES OPEN!

Entries for the 2023/24 Petzl Night Runner Series and 2024 Montane Trail Series are now open. We’ve got an EPIC list of events which will take us from Autumn, right through to summer 2024!

Petzl Night Runner Delamere is an incredible 10k which takes place in pitch darkness. Based at Delamere Forest in Cheshire, it’s a Halloween themed night with a free children’s fun run included. The course takes place on good tracks and trails, but there’s a sting in the tail as you climb ‘Old Pale’… Join us at Delamere and come over to the dark side.

We’re back at Delamere Forest on Sunday January 14th for Montane Trail 13 & 10 Delamere Forest. It’s an EPIC start to the new year! At round 1 of the Montane Trail Series you can choose either the half marathon or 10k. It’s a great mixture of forest roads and single track, but once again you’ll finish with Old Pale so save a little energy!

Rivington Pike is Round 2 of the Petzl Night Runner Series. It’s a challenging route to Rivington Pike and beyond, with stunning views as a reward. It’s themed as ‘close encounters’ of the UFO kind… but keep your torch on the path ahead. Join us at Rivington and come over to the dark side.

Round 2 of the Montane Trail Series is Grizedale Trail 13 & 26, taking place from Grizedale Forest Visitor Centre, near Hawkshead in the Lake District. The half marathon course is the first 13 miles of the marathon route and takes place on good forest tracks. The route is ‘undulating’ but you are rewarded with some great views of Coniston and surrounding areas. Grizedale Visitor Centre is the finish for the half marathon, but the full marathon distance runners will continue to complete an Eastern loop towards Windermere. The terrain is varied, with some road sections, but it’s certainly not flat. The event always fills in advance and is a fantastic way to start the year!

The Montane Trail 13 & 26 Howgills is one of our most popular routes and it’s round 3 of the Montane Trail Series. The Howgills are a great place to run and the picturesque village of Sedbergh provides us with a fantastic start and finish point. You can choose either the half or full marathon distance, either option is an EPIC day out on the trails!

The Montane Trail 10, 20 & 55k Ullswater Way starts and finishes at Jenkins Field in Glenridding. The Trail 20 route follows the stunning Ullswater Way, which is a complete lap of Ullswater. The Trail 10 starts from Pooley Bridge (we’ll transport you there from Race HQ at Glenridding) and runs the final 10 miles of the route back to Glenridding.
