Entries for the Montane Trail Series 2023 are now open! We’ve got distances suitable for all abilities and we’re looking forward to an EPIC year on the trails. We hope you’ll join us!
The dates and distances are as follows:
1. We start the new year with the Dalemere Forest 10k and Half Marathon, Sunday January 15th. The trails of Delamere are a mixture of logging roads and single track and the route has a sting in the tail as runners climb ‘Old Pale’ GO HERE
2. Grizedale Forest Half and Full Marathon, Sunday February 5th is always a popular event and one to test your early season fitness. The first 13 miles takes place on logging roads, this makes good running and great views of Coniston Water. The 2nd loop (the full course only) is a challenge mixture of tracks and trails which takes you to the shores of Windermere GO HERE
3. Howgills Half and Full Marathon, Sunday May 14th is a stunning route is the Howgill Fells, starting and finishing in Sedbergh Village. The first part involves some climbing, but the views are worth it. If you’ve never ran in the Howgills before, then you’re in for a treat! GO HERE
4. Ullswater Way 10 and 20 miles, Saturday June 3rd is a stunning route. You can complete the full 20 miles loop of Ullswater or the final 10 miles back from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding. It’s a challenging route, but good underfoot and the views are unrivalled GO HERE
