500Legends

The 500 Legends club is for all those who have completed the 105 mile course 5 times or more and they are honoured with a 500 legends slate trophy. The concept was born many years ago, when slate was cheap and we didn’t think that many people would be daft enough to do it… how wrong we were. A total of 147 people have now been awarded the slate.

Matt Neale still stands on the top of the table with 16 Lakeland 100 finishes in the 17 years that the event has taken place at Coniston. Jackie Stretton (who along with Sharon Sullivan became the first women to join the club – both pictured) also stands at the top of the table with 10 Lakeland 100 finishes. Both Jackie and Matt are on the start list in 2026 and don’t look set to lose their titles any time soon.

We wish you all the best of luck and hope to see you on your feet when the sound of the proclaimers kicks off the presentation.

It’s very difficult to collate such a list over a 19 year period as people enter using different names and different addresses, plus there’s also the added issue that you may not be the only Paul Smith to have done the race. If you believe that you (or someone else) should be on that list, then please email organiser@lakeland100.com and we will correct the error. Equally, if you believe that you should not be on the list, get in touch.
