Recce Weekend March 17th 2023, Buttermere to Dalemain

The third recce covers the ground from Buttermere to Dalemain and is relevant for 100 mile runners (not on the 50 course). It covers miles 26 to 59 of the 100 course, making it a 33 mile section.

Sunday March 17th

Arrive no later than 7:30am for the 8:00am Coach pick up at Dalemain Estate. Parking is free at Dalemain car park (we pay your £4 fee). Please log into your resultsbase account and ensure your mobile number is the one you’ll be bringing on the day and your emergency contact is correct.

Coach will drop off at Buttermere / bottom of Newlands Pass, close to the event day checkpoint at 9:00-9:15am and you will start running from there. There will be ‘guides’ available on the day, to help you navigate but they are not there to ‘follow’. You should be prepared to navigate and learn the route, the guides will support you. There will be a guide leading each ‘pace group’ and there will also be a rear sweeper.

If you do not require transport and you are heading straight to Buttermere, then you must ensure that you check in at the start (check in 9:00am).  All other competitors will check in as they board the bus at Dalemain.
