The Lakeland Lapland Festive Virtual Ultra Run will take place between the 10th and the 22nd December 2020. There are two options: you can choose the 234k (145 miles) or the 144k (89 miles) distance and you have 12 days to complete the challenge. You can walk or run and you can walk/run as many time per day as you like. The city of Rovaniemi is the capital of Lapland and to get to Santa, you have to travel 234k to the village of Korvatunturi. If that’s a little far for you, there is a bus that can take you as far as the village of Luosto, but the snow gets too deep from there, so you’re on foot and need to complete 144k to get to Santa. You can can also run as part of a team if you think the distance is too much on your own, GO HERE to read more.
Over the course of the 12 day event, we’ll have live daily updates, including the return of Foxcast every evening. In addition to the main event, we’ll also be organising:
- A free virtual challenge for primary and secondary schools, read more HERE
- Our Christmas toy appeal for children in the NW region.
Join us for an amazing community event this December, entries are £20, which includes the cost of your event medal. You’ll also have the option to purchase event shirts and other items. The event will help us to continue charity projects and donations throughout the North West.
You’ve got 12 days to reach Santa and save Christmas, who’s in?
